CDU local association Hoisten elects new chairman
Neuss The CDU local association Hoisten, Speck-Wehl and Helpenstein is continuing its course of rejuvenation. Now chairman Heinz Welter is handing over the baton to Peter Saynisch.

Heinz Welter kept his word in every respect. When he pushed the city councilor Karl-Heinz Baum out of the chair a good two years ago with a majority of the members of the CDU local association Hoisten, Speck-Wehl and Helpenstein, he said two things – and delivered too.

First: In Sebastian Heckhausen, Welter found a young candidate for the city council who has successfully defended the direct mandate in the constituency. And even with the second-best constituency result that the CDU was able to achieve in September. Second: As agreed, Welter resigned the chairmanship after two years and made room for a rejuvenation. Peter Saynisch (51) should moderate it.

The independent lawyer was unanimously elected as the new local association chairman on the proposal of the board. Katharina Winkels was confirmed as second chairwoman. Herbert Königs runs the cash register, Andreas Müller runs the business and Jörg Lehrmann acts as member representative. Patrick Paul, Stephan Rönicke, Sebastian Heckhausen and Jasmin Wyrich complete the board as assessors.

The new chairman thanked his predecessor for having endured difficult decisions and represented them.
