The Tour de France reached its homeland after three stages in Denmark. The fourth stage promises an interesting course.

Favorites to win the 4th stage:

Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma)

Peter Sagan’s chances

At the Tour, Peter Sagan triumphed in the undulating stages. The tactic was clear – to set an uncomfortable pace for the sprinters and get rid of them on the climbs. Something similar would be expected in this stage as well, but they are too short. Even so, a sharper pace in them could take away some of their explosiveness. It is clear that Peter is in good shape and will again fight for the triumph in the end. Again, this will require luck in choosing the right sprinter’s rear wheel and timing the sprint.

Tour is in France! The Grand Départ in Denmark was famous. After the day off, which the teams used to move, a block of interesting stages will begin in France.

The fourth stage may look innocent, but its undulating center together with the possible wind leave several scenarios in play.

The menu of the day will consist of one sprint premium and six climbs of the 4th category. Magnus Cort is in points and has six points. Will we see him at the front in the pursuit of “points” for the third stage in a row?

The most important point of the stage on paper is the final climb. Although it is only 900 meters and 7.5%, its peak is 10.8 km before the finish line. It is offered as a good starting ramp for explosive cyclists and classicists. The chance is there, but the daredevil will have to show a perfect tempo performance in the last kilometers.

There are three roundabouts in the last five kilometers. On the first, you will go straight, the second is about 1,500 meters before the tape and you will go to the right, and the third will be the most important. It arrives 500 meters before the target and turns left. Here, it will be sprinting for the corner as well as for the triumph. After that, it will be straight to the line.
