After a free day, the Tour de France continues with another stage in the Alps. The triathlon stage in this mountain range will be opened by the easiest of them. It finishes in a long climb with a slight incline.

After the second free day, the peloton bites even deeper into the largest European mountain range. Again, it will not be a completely difficult stage, but it is short and after a day of rest we can see high activity. In addition, the teams did not deal with any transfers during the day off, which is always a huge plus towards the condition and well-being of the cyclists.
Even on the third stage in a row, the peloton will reach Lake Geneva, from which it will immediately head south. The first half of the stage is difficult, it is still going up and down, and the sprinters will definitely be in trouble. They will certainly not join the battle on the speed premium, because it lies before the start of the target climb.
The climb to Megève airport is very long but not steep. It is 21.4 km long from the start of the climb to the finish of the stage, where the gradients do not reach double digits. It is a Tempár hill that peaks only in the last hundreds of meters. It will be the steepest just before the premium. Although the last hill climb ends 2.2 km before the finish line, it can be said that it climbs all the way to the finish line.
This stage is again a very good opportunity for an escape. The introduction is relatively difficult, the group can select itself and gain the necessary lead. The mileage is lower and four hours in the saddle are good for attackers.
Before two brutal days in the Alps, the men in the overall standings will probably guard each other and save their strength. The finish is not selective and even cyclists who drop out of the main group will have the opportunity to go back in easier passages. For this reason, in the group of yellow Tadej Pogačar, we will witness the same scenario as on Sunday – it will come together and the climbers will sprint in the last hundreds of meters.
