As the foreign media write, there was not enough alcohol.

Blood tests showed his level to be over three per thousand, which according to several rankings (including one on the Czech portal bezpecnecesty.cz), is severe drunkenness or, if you prefer, intoxication.

According to the definition, such a person shows the inability to walk independently, has unintelligible speech, behavioral disorders may occur and there is a risk of aggression.

Sagan apologized via a video on social media a few hours after the verdict was announced, but the media did not spare him.

“Drunken Sagan again. This time he was driving a motor scooter under the influence of alcohol,” reports the Spanish cycling portal IberoBike.

The Spaniards are recalling the Žilina incident during the pandemic in 2021.

Together with his brother Juraj, they broke the curfew in Monaco. When they were stopped by the police, the younger of the sibling pair was said to have panicked, resisted arrest, and injured the police officer in the process.

Sagan was fined 5,000 euros, had to pay court costs and another fine. According to the French media, he should have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.’

“No one really knows what’s going on with Peter Sagan, but his farewell to professional road cycling is increasingly being overshadowed by reports of what he’s doing off the bike,” criticizes IberoBike.
