The Peter R. de Vries Foundation is offering a reward of 100,000 euros for the golden tip about the death of Mike Venema. The 53-year-old Dutchman, who lived on Curaçao, disappeared without a trace from the island in 2018. Almost a year later, his body was found by a crab diver in his car lying at the bottom of the Caribbean Sea.

“Mike’s parents have lived in uncertainty for years about what happened to their only son,” says director Kelly de Vries. “Unfortunately, his father passed away early this year and last Saturday, a few days before the announcement of this award, Mike’s 88-year-old mother also passed away. She has been able to give interviews in which she talks about how important it is for her to know what happened to her son.”
