Following Viktor Orbán and Péter Márki-Zay, Péter Magyar organizes civic circles 3.0. The association was newly registered from a model based on the trinity of a party, association and umbrella organization, and it is also possible that it will announce which party it will run for in the election at the Saturday demonstration. The question is whether a political garage company can work and be successful in Hungary dominated by the NER-multi.
A combination of a party, an association and an umbrella organization is preparing for this June’s elections, or rather for the 2026 one, but for now not much is known about them, as well as about their membership, “faces”, candidates, financing and program apart from the protagonist.
At the moment, this is how the political-social community around Péter Magyar can be described, which, despite the question marks, seems to be an increasingly populous camp.
Hungarian on the new party: “I’ll tell you in part”
Péter Magyar told hvg360 one day before Saturday’s demonstration that he will make several announcements at his demonstration, so some details will be revealed about the party with which he is preparing for the June EP and municipal elections.
When asked if he would announce the name of the party, which he had carefully kept secret until now, he answered even more enigmatically: “Partly”.
On the other hand, he indicated that the association planned to be created as a legal entity alongside the party has already been registered, the name of which may be revealed on Friday, but it may be that he will reveal it only on Saturday.
