In a Facebook post, Curpen claims that Linnemann did not inform Madsen that he recorded the phone calls.
“I must point out that all the material he brings is something he has obtained illegally and with manipulation,” she writes.
She calls Linnemann’s actions “unethical, unprofessional, irresponsible and unacceptable”.
Claims that both so no
In the post, Curpen says that Linnemann contacted the couple to tell them that he was interested in making a documentary about the much-discussed case.
According to the latter, both Madsen and Curpen said no to participating.
“We do not want, and do not need, that kind of attention, and kept trying to avoid it as much as possible,” she writes.
She says that the only reason Madsen agreed to talk on the phone with Linnemann was that he wanted to talk about the possibility of publishing an autobiography.
A world of guilt
In the documentary, Madsen does not directly say that he killed the Swedish journalist, but he answers “yes” when asked if he killed Kim Wall.
Curpen writes that she has received many questions after her husband’s admission.
“I must say that I have lived in a world of guilt for three years, and I can assure you that none of you will ever be able to handle it the way we have done,” she writes.
She concludes by writing that she is sorry that Kim Wall’s memory is being destroyed by an industry that she believes has “the dignity and morals of a rubbish bin”.
Rejects criticism
Transfer BT The documentary’s editor, Tine Røgind, rejects all the accusations.
“Peter Madsen has known from the very beginning that he talked to a journalist, and that the inquiry was of a journalistic nature. Peter Madsen has been made aware that the conversations were recorded, and has also given his acceptance that they are used in the program, “she writes.
Married in prison
Madsen and Curpen married in January at Herstedvester Prison in Albertslund, where Madsen is serving his sentence.
Curpen is originally from Moscow, but lives in the Finnish city of Salo after being granted political asylum there after leaving Russia in 2012.
Previously, she has told BBC that she worked as a journalist for the opposition newspaper Grani when she lived in Russia.
She now makes a living as an artist.
Sentenced to life
It was in August 2017 that Kim Wall was killed, abused and parted after joining Madsen in his homemade submarine to make a report.
The body parts were later dumped into the sea, and then the submarine sank.
In August 2018, Madsen joined sentenced to life in prison for torturing, mutilating and killing Wall.
