“Peter Koelewijn Rocks White Sneakers at 82 in Even Tot Hier Performance”

Peter Koelewijn may be 82, but you can’t tell from him yet. The singer, known for his hit ‘Kom van dat dak af’, appeared in the satirical television program last night Even Until Here see that he is still full of energy. It surprises viewers. “He is still rocking his white sneakers at his age!”

It went in Even Until Here again about everything that was in the news this week. From the strikes at the Albert Heijn, the fall at Op1 and Caroline van der Plas’ ‘Zelensky boycott’, to the cup final between Ajax and PSV. Comedians Niels van der Laan and Jeroen Woe were quite critical of that last event. “It was rolling, rolling, rolling,” the two summarize last week’s hot-tempered game.

Because last week there was a lot of pushing back and forth by the players on the field and often enough one made a tumble. “Get off that grass,” said Niels van der Laan, who was excited about the affected behavior of football players. Pianist Miguels Wiels then pointed out ‘that one song’ to the two comedians, as always. Everyone could already guess what was coming.

He was of course referring to ‘Come off that roof’ by Peter Koelewijn, who was allowed to make an appearance in the satirical program on Saturday evening. The singer showed that singing is still going very well for him at the age of 82. He made it a smashing performance, viewers thought, where he was still swinging nicely.

Many people wonder what the singer’s secret is to be in such good shape at his age. “It doesn’t get any older either,” viewers say.

“That man has more energy at 82 than I did at 55. Good man,” says someone about the singer’s performance. “We sometimes talk about the Rolling Stones, but our own Nederpop king Peter Koelewijn is still doing well,” says another.
