Gillis’ new love will also be featured in his program Massa is Kassathe tenth season of which begins Tuesday night.
“Even though I only met Wendy recently, it feels like we’ve known each other for years. I’m looking forward to our future together,” Gillis writes on Instagram.
In the first nine seasons of the program, Gillis’ then partner Nicol Kremers could still be seen. The couple announced in February that they are no longer together. At the end of last year, Gillis was suspected of assaulting Kremers. She has not filed a report for this, but has made an incriminating statement.
‘I went through a very deep valley’
In a joint statement, Gillis and Kremers said their breakup had nothing to do with this incident.
“I have to say that I went through a very deep valley. Nicol disappeared from one moment to the next, even without taking her things with me,” says Gillis in Private. “We have been together for five years, I couldn’t just close that. After a month or two I picked up daily life again.”
A few months later, Gillis met Wendy on a terrace at his own holiday park and there was an immediate click. “It may sound strange if you just met, but it immediately felt familiar,” she says Private. “Peter is extremely caring, I noticed that even then.”
