Peter Gillis has not paid the penalty of 250,000 euros that he had to pay to the municipality of Peel en Maas, just across the Dutch-Limburg border.

The 60-year-old Gillis, when asked, informed the ANP. Gillis, who can be seen in the SBS6 reality soap Family Gillis: Massa is Kassa, had until July 10 to pay the penalty.
Oostappen Groep, Gillis’ holiday company, was ordered to pay a penalty for illegally housing migrant workers at the De Berckt holiday park in Baarlo. “I have not paid. I don’t think they are entitled to that,” Gillis said in a brief response.
Collection agency
The Dutch municipality of Peel en Maas confirmed on Monday that Gillis has indeed not yet complied with the penalty. The municipality will first talk to Gillis. If that doesn’t work, a debt collection agency can eventually be called in.
