Peter from Chur’s guitar evokes memories of his youth in the presenter Horst Lichter, while his sales team “Cash for Rares” immediately recognize what iconic item the candidate brought with him to the TV show.

In the current edition of the ZDF junk show “Bares für Rares” Peter from Chur will accompany him on guitar. The sales team immediately recognizes it as an instrument from the cult TV series “Lindenstrasse”.

“Cash for Rare Items”– Candidate Peter from Chur brings a guitar to the ZDF rubbish show. Once he bought the instrument at the second auction “Lindenstrasse”– Cult night in December 2006.

“This guitar was donated by Hans Wilhelm Geissendörfer and written by 30 actors,” explains Peter, and goes on to say that it is a series prop.

The many signatures made the guitar unique, and expert Sven Deutschmanek explains to Horst Lichter whether the instrument itself was valuable or not.

The expert cannot identify a manufacturer: “It’s a film or series prop from ‘Lindenstrasse’.” But: “Of course we have to say it was a Hans Beimer guitar.”

Deutschmanek recalls: “The Beimer family also lived with me. ” After all, “Lindenstrasse” was “the most successful German soap opera and also” from 1985 to 2020.

Even Horst Lichter has heard of “Mother Beimer”.

In order not to advertise on public television, “they actually used a guitar that was not mentioned anywhere.” Expert Sven Deutschmanek estimates the value of the instrument alone at 59 euros.

The true collector’s value comes from the original signatures. The signature of “Lindenstrasse” engineer Hans W. Geissendörfer is of particular interest to fans of the TV series.

“No! From ‘Lindenstrasse,'” seller Lisa Nüdling exclaims happily when the item arrives in the seller’s room. “I really enjoyed watching “Lindenstrasse”. That’s why: ‘Lindenstrasse’ is cult!”

Seller Peter mentions: “Hans played the guitar, Helga and Marion played the flute, Benny played the cello and Klausi played the triangle.” “It’s a real childhood memory,” says salesman Nüdeling, exiting. “400 euros. Cult!” it is the commandment.

“There are already three public museums and one private museum with props from ‘Lindenstrasse’,” says candidate Peter, giving further impetus to the negotiation.

“I’m going to touch every command now,” says musician Steve Mandel, picking up the instrument. However, he is hesitant about buying it himself: “If I bring another guitar home, I will get a beating from my wife.”

However, before the prop from “Lindenstrasse” went to his Dutch colleague Jos van Katwijk, Mandel bought it for 500 euros.
