Juarez City.- Fostering reading and the exchange of books in the Juarez community is the goal of Petauro Lector, a group made up of citizens who organized a sowing of 91 free books in English and Spanish yesterday in Central Park.
Susana Torres, members of the club, commented that the taste of citizens for reading books has been resumed, despite the fact that there are platforms and electronic devices.

“There are people who say that digital is better for reasons of portability, low cost… but there is a movement back to physical (…), there is a return little by little. Years ago it was announced that the physical book was in extinction, but it has been proven that it is not, that it is a very attractive format that remains despite the competition that may arise”, explained Torres.

The books that were made available to people were those that were recovered in the campaign to collect recyclable materials last Sunday, another part went to primary and secondary schools, said the interviewee.
He added that surveys have already been carried out with the community to find out the reason why people do not buy books, in which the interviewees mentioned that the prices are high.
