According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the question of where the possible next meeting of presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden may take place is “not even closely discussed.”
“This is not even a question for now, not even close,” he said, answering a question about the venue for the next meeting.
Speaking about whether the leaders’ correspondence contacts are being worked out now, the Kremlin spokesman explained that first it is necessary to hold negotiations on security guarantees for the Russian Federation from NATO.
“We said that it looks like it will take place in January. And we will expect specific answers to the questions raised,” he stressed.
Peskov confirmed that a meeting of the presidents is possible only after specific agreements are reached at these consultations.
