Konami surprised everyone by announcing, this Wednesday (21), its new game of soccer electronic. From Winning Eleven to Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) and now eFootball. The game will not have physical media and can be downloaded on each console’s platforms for free. Yes, that’s exactly what you read. Fans will be able to play at no cost. In addition, the Japanese company bet heavy and will have Neymar e Messi as ambassadors.
Another achievement is that Konami closed with the association of athletes from the United States, which means that all MLS (Major League Soccer) players will be present with the already famous minimalist details.
But the big news, of course, is the bombastic announcement that fans won’t need to open their wallets to play the eFootball in this year. As a form of compensation, the game will sell internal ads and charge for some content. The latest version of the game cost R$ 279 and sold hundreds of thousands of units worldwide.
Konami decided to make a general overhaul of the game and relied on Iniesta and Piqué as game consultants to recreate moves and experience.
Neymar had already been announced on Tuesday as ambassador of eFootball. On his social networks he did not hide the satisfaction of having been chosen by Konami. The Brazilian had already hinted that something “iconic” would happen soon – most likely about the fact that the game will be free.
“Very excited to announce that we have partnered with Konami to be one of the PES 22 ambassadors. Soon we will have an iconic moment of Pro Evolution Soccer, so come play with us,” said the Brazilian.
