Sisters Valeria and Alessia Palacios won the silver medal in the LW2X modality.
The Peruvian rowing team had a great performance in Brazil, winning six medals and qualifying three athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The delegation participated in the Pre-Olympic and the South American Championships, held in Rio de Janeiro, leaving an excellent impression.
In the case of the medals, the sisters Valeria and Alessia Palacios won silver in the LW2X category, while Valeria Palacios also obtained second place in the LW1X individual category.
While the bronze went individually to Sandro Gardella (LM1X) and the team made up of Gardella, Andrés Sandoval, Alberto Limonta and Matías Cabizza (LM4), as well as to the Palacios sisters in W2X.
