On the other hand, the Czech national team did not succeed in the first of three World Circuit tournaments in Cancún. Markéta Nasch Sluková with Barbora Hermannová and Michala Kvapilová and Michaela Kubíčková lost both matches in the group at the four-star event and did not take the opportunity to gain further points in the Olympic qualification.
After the initial defeat, the Czech women’s number one Nausch Sluková and Hermannová did not manage to fight for participation in the elimination fights with the bronze medalists from the last World Championship, Talique Clancyová and Mariafe Artachová from Australia. They lost 23:21, 10:21 and 10:15 with the second pair. Kvapilová and Kubíčková were not enough for the tournament tens of Brazilians Ana Patrici and Rebecca, to whom they lost 19:21 and 11:21. After success in qualifying, they did not play even a set in the main competition.
The next tournament will take place in Cancun next week.
