It shouldn’t be long and we should find the new game, which is a collaboration between Perun Creative and Latest Past, in Early Access on Steam. In addition to PC, they managed to get Hobo: Tough Live to consoles, so it’s time for another project. Kvark will be a traditional first-person shooter in which we will look into an alternative version of the 80s of the last century in the Czech Republic.
The main setting of the game will be an underground complex full of dark tunnels called Kvark, which is slowly falling apart. Although it boasts of its level of security, with which no imperialist can penetrate it, something has obviously gone wrong. We can already see a small sample of the event in the announcement trailer. Perhaps the radioactive materials that were being researched at Kvark have something to do with the incident.
A quark over time in addition to PC, it will also target PS4, PS5, XO, XSX and Switch. But first, spend some time in Early Access on Steam. This procedure has obviously worked well for the creators, so they want to fine-tune their next game together with the community. That should last approximately 12 months, when all 5 chapters are to be released. Of course, plans can change during development. The first version will start with one chapter called The Old Complex. On Steam you will also find the hardware requirements, which are not bloody at all, and we will also read here that the game it will be in Czech.
Even though it may not look like that at first glance, Kvark runs on Unreal Engine 5. The creators decided to use graphics reminiscent of retro games. Overall, it looks like it will be very close to boomer-shooters like Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem, Heretic and many others.
After finishing Hobo: Tough Life, Kvark is now the main thing for Perun Creative. But the studio has already confirmed that it is preparing one title, which we know as Project Jitrenka. But we know absolutely nothing about him other than that he will come out on PC, PlayStation 5 a Xbox Series S|X.
