Without a doubt, it is an unprecedented event, which once again places Peru on the global stage, through the organization of major sporting events.
With an arduous warm-up on the competition courts that were set up throughout the Sports Center 3 of the Legado Videna headquarters, the best in the world began their cycle of competitions in the competition that grants classification points to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. .

When an International Federation grants the responsibilities of hosting to a national federation, it means that they have managed and have a fairly sustainable development plan. Bringing 34 countries with over 152 female athletes is iconic. It is worthy of admiration and congratulations, to make us feel proud of being Peruvian. The country’s promises are making us more visible”stated the executive director of the Special Legacy Project, Carlos Zegarra.
There will be three days of tough competition and the Peruvian representation will seek to put up a fight, with the skill of Darma Canal (first place in the national ranking of seniors in saber), María Fernanda Tudela (bronze medal in team saber in the South American in Brazil 2022 ), Domenica Albarrán, Aixa Álvarez, Katerina Farje, María Karina Galindo, Kate Ann Lu, Mariam Olivieri and Nina Rosales.
The Women’s Fencing World Cup, organized by the Peruvian National Fencing Sports Federation, is also graced with the presence of Theodora Gkountoura (current number 2 in the world), the Japanese Misaki Emura (3rd in the ranking) and the Ukrainian Olga Kharlan, winner of four Olympic medals.
