“As we speak the Fourth Nationwide Superior Felony Chamber has declared unfounded the prosecution’s attraction, which sought to impose home arrest on my patron, former President Alberto Fujimori. I salute this courageous and lawful pronouncement; which , offers us indicators that justice has been served,” reported Elio Riera, the previous president’s lawyer, by his account on the social community X.
In January, the PJ initially rejected the prosecutor’s request to impose home arrest on Fujimori.
