Peru eliminates Venezuela

Peru advanced to the Copa America quarter-finals by defeating Venezuela 1-0 at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia. La Rojiblanca was able to count on the multiple saves of Pedro Gallese (13 ‘, 17’) so as not to sink in the face of very enterprising Burgundians who were playing for their survival in this group B. After the break, André Carillo scored the only goal of the meeting in fox mode of surfaces (48 ‘). The Venezuelans pushed to the end but the Peruvian goalkeeper finished disgusting his opponents in stoppage time (90 + 4 ‘). Peru finished second in their group with seven points, while Venezuela, two points, was eliminated.
