Of German newspaper Die Zeit reported July 10: Peru has declared a public health emergency following an unusual spike in cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome. 180 people have already fallen ill and four have died.
“Due to the unusual increase in Guillain-Barré syndrome, a national health emergency has been declared for 90 days,” Peru’s health ministry said in a statement. All 25 regions of the country, which has a total population of about 33 million, have been affected.
In recent weeks, there has been a large increase in the number of cases, “which forces us to take measures at the state level to protect the health and life of the population,” Health Minister Cesar Vasquez told the press. Since January, the number of cases has risen to 180 and four people have already died. The declaration of this emergency will enable the purchase of immunoglobulins to treat affected people over the next two years.
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle weakness that usually worsens within two to four weeks and can affect the respiratory system. One of the most common symptoms is tingling and weakness in the limbs.
GBS occurs after both viral and bacterial infections – for example, after campylobacter diarrhoea. In the past, the disease was also observed due to Zika virus infection. According to researchers, in rare cases it can also be the result of a corona vaccination.
In a recent review article (1) to inflammatory neuropathies (such as Guillain-Barré syndrome) after corona vaccination, it is indeed concluded that:
The Sars-CoV-2 vaccine may be associated with inflammatory neuropathies of acute onset that may follow a chronic course; unlike classic chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP, autoimmune diseases in which the insulating sheath of the nerves in the arms and legs is damaged), post-vaccination CIDP has frequent involvement of cranial nerves (the cranial nerves that control the muscles in the head, face, neck and transmit information from the senses in the face to the brain); given the similarities between acute CIDP and SARS-CoV2 vaccine-related Guillain-Barré syndrome, it is important to follow future patients with post-vaccine GBS to detect a possible evolution to the chronic form; CIDP may be more likely to develop after vaccination with a viral vector [Janssen, Astra Zenica, red.]than genetic vaccines that use mRNA [Pfizer, Moderna, red.].
We are posting this review to raise awareness among physicians and the public of potential vaccine harm as a cause of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathies (CIDP)
The Doctors Collective advocates stopping the current mRNA and DNA (repeat) vaccines because of the low effectiveness, the risk of serious side effects, the unexplained excess mortality, indications of risks during pregnancy and unfamiliarity with the long-term risks of the genetic vaccines for the child. We also advocate research into vaccine-related complications and mortality.
