This Monday, the Peruvian team presented its roster with players from the local environment, for the matches against Chile and Argentina for the next double date of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
The Bicolor coach, Juan Reynoso, called up 26 soccer players who play in Peruvian soccer and that group will be joined by a couple of names who play abroad, but who have not yet been announced.
The white and red team will visit La Roja at the Monumental Stadium on Thursday, October 12. Then, he will return to his country to play at home against the Argentine national team on Tuesday the 17th of the same month.
Peru is in seventh place in the table with one unit, the same score as Chile, but the team led by Eduardo Berizzo is in eighth place for having the worst goal difference (-2).
Venezuela
The Venezuelan team also announced its roster to visit Brazil and host Chile for the next double date of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, matches that will be played on October 12 and 17 respectively.
The Argentine Fernando Batista, coach of the “Vinotinto”, named 28 players and several of them passed through Chilean football, as is the case of Yeferson Soteldo (U de Chile and Huachipato), Luis Mago (Palestino, U de Chile and Ñublense), Rómulo Otero (Huachipato) and Eduard Bello (Deportes Antofagasta).
The top references that this team has, striker Salomón Rondón and midfielder Tomás Rincón, were also called.
The Venezuelan team is fifth in the table with 3 points, two units more than La Roja, which occupies eighth place.
The Red
La Roja, for its part, announced this Friday the roster with the Chilean players who are abroad who were summoned by Eduardo Berizzo for the duels against Peru and Venezuela on the double qualifying date in October.
The new additions to the list of 24 players include forwards Felipe Mora (Portland Timbers) and Diego Rubio (Colorado Rapids), both from the MLS in the United States.
Paulo Díaz also returns, who missed the September date due to injury. Arturo Vidal, who is recovering in our country, was left out of it.
The big absentee again is the goalkeeper and “captain” Claudio Bravo, who has started in the last duels that Real Betis has played in Spain and the Europa League.
Guillermo Soto, who left for Baltika from Russia, and Bruno Barticcioto from Talleres were also not mentioned.
Chile’s challenges in Qualifiers will be against Peru on October 12 at the Monumental, while on the 17th of the same month they will visit Venezuela in Maturín.
