Jakarta –
President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati spoke about the scenario of limiting purchases Pertalite if implemented on August 1, 2022. According to him, if the restrictions are implemented on August 1, Pertalite consumption will decrease to 26.71 million kiloliters (KL), still higher than the quota.
Nicke explained that the Pertalite quota in 2022 is 23.05 million KL. With the current consumption trend, it is estimated that consumption in 2022 will reach 28.5 million KL. That is, consumption Pertalite above the quota, aka the quota is broken.
“The quota for Pertalite in 2022 is 23 million KL. Our prediction is that with today’s trend it will increase to 28.5 million KL,” he said in a hearing meeting with Commission VI as written, Tuesday (12/7/2022).

He continued, the government will revise Presidential Regulation 191 of 2014, in which the regulation regulates the criteria for those who are entitled to purchase subsidized fuel.
Nicke said, assuming the restrictions are implemented on August 1, consumption Pertalite will reach 26.71 million KL. Pertalite consumption is projected to be lower than the previous projection, but still above the quota set in 2022 of 23.05 million KL.
“If it is then implemented with restrictions, we assume we will do it as of August 1 when the regulations are out, then this can reduce it, we predict it to be 26.7 (million KL),” he said.
“But still higher than the prognosis, still an increase of 16%” he added.
In his presentation, the results of the Coordination Meeting led by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs stated that the restrictions on JBKP Pertalite users were specifically set for four wheels with black plates of 1,500 cc and below and two wheels of 250 cc and below.
