Pertamina Drops Fuel Prices in Greater Jakarta and West Java on June 1, 2023

Pertamina again made adjustments fuel oil prices (BBM), Thursday (1/6/2023). In general, all Pertamina’s non-subsidized products experienced a price reduction.

In Greater Jakarta, prices Pertamax (RON 92) has fallen to IDR 12,400 per liter from the previous IDR 13,300. Whereas Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) is now Rp. 13,600 per liter from Rp. 15,000 previously.

Then for Dexlite (CN 51) fuel products, now Rp. 12,650 per liter, from Rp. 13,700 previously. Meanwhile, the price of Pertamina Dex (CN 53) is IDR 13,250 per liter from IDR 14,600 previously.


Fuel prices in other areas also experienced adjustments. For example, for the Prov. West Java (West Java) and Banten, Pertalite’s current price is IDR 12,500 per liter while Pertamax Turbo is IDR 13,600 per liter.

The same price also applies to Kab. Thousand Islands, Prov. Central Java (Central Java), East Java (East Java), Bali, NTB and NTT. Meanwhile, for other provinces, Pertamina’s fuel prices are still slightly higher, except for Batam.

For information, the Main Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, explained that the price of non-subsidized fuel is fluctuating, so it is evaluated periodically following market trends and mechanisms. Pertamina makes price adjustments following the trend of world oil prices and the average price of oil publications.

“Pertamina’s fuel prices take into account various aspects including crude oil, MOPS publications and exchange rates, so that they can guarantee the continuity of the supply and distribution of fuel to all corners of the country. The new price will take effect as of June 1 and has met the upper limits set for each fuel type,” Alfian explained.

As for the provisions on the price fixing limit in question, it is regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 as an amendment to Ministerial Decree No.62/K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the formulation of prices for JBU or non-subsidized fuel.
