KOMPAS.com – The price of fuel oil (BBM) type RON 92 or better known as Pertamax is expected to increase to IDR 16,000 per liter in April 2022.
The price experienced a very significant increase, which was almost doubled.
The reason is, currently the price of Pertamax sold by Pertamina is in the range of Rp. 9,000 to Rp. 9,400 per liter.
The increase in the price of Pertamax was triggered by the high price of crude oil in the world, which until now has penetrated to a level above 100 US dollars per barrel.
A number of parties said that if the price of Pertamax was not increased, Pertamina would suffer losses.
The government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, has given a signal to the public that Pertamax fuel is expected to increase in April.

Reported from Bangkok Post, consumption of fuel oil (BBM) in Thailand has increased compared to last year.
The Energy Business Department said the increase reached 13.9 percent or about 153 million liters per day in the first two months of 2022.
