Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
PT Pertamina (Persero) provides discounts for types of fuel oil (BBM) Pertalite at a number of public fuel filling stations (SPBU) in West Jakarta (West Jakarta), South Jakarta (Jaksel), and East Jakarta (East Jakarta). Previously, this discount was valid in Central Jakarta (Jakpus) and North Jakarta (Jakut).
Unit Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Marketing Operation Region III Pertamina III Eko Kristiawan said the discount amount is IDR 1,200 per liter. So, the price of Pertalite has dropped from the normal price of Rp7,650 to Rp6,450 per liter or the equivalent of Premium.
This discount is part of the Blue Sky Program (PLB). This discount program targets consumers of two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorized vehicles, city public transportation (angkot), and yellow-plate taxis.
“Apart from two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorized vehicles, Pertamina also targets yellow-plate public transportation and taxis, so it is hoped that they will become an example for the public to care more about the environment and switch to quality fuels,” said Eko in an official statement, quoted on Saturday. (21/11).
The program starts today in West Jakarta. Consumers can get discounts at 24 gas stations that serve Pertalite special prices.
Meanwhile, Pertamina provides 39 gas stations in South Jakarta and 51 gas stations in East Jakarta, which will provide Pertalite discounts. However, discounted prices in South Jakarta and East Jakarta can only be enjoyed tomorrow, Sunday (22/11).
“Consumers can recognize the gas stations that serve the promo, through the banners attached to the SPBU totem,” he said.
Despite holding a promo, he continued, Pertamina still provides Premium fuel in the DKI Jakarta area. He appealed to the public not to worry about Premium availability.
This program is a form of support to the government in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 41 of 1999 concerning Air Pollution Control. Efforts to reduce air pollution can be done through controlling motor vehicle exhaust emissions, one of which is the use of higher quality and environmentally friendly fuel.
Eko explained that higher quality fuel has a high octane (Research Octane Number / RON) content, so it is more environmentally friendly because it has low emissions.
In addition, higher quality fuel will have a positive impact on vehicle performance and will be more efficient in fuel consumption because the combustion in the engine room is more perfect.
“Pertamina continues to encourage the use of quality fuel products, namely Pertalite with RON 90, Pertamax RON 92 and Pertamax Turbo RON 98,” he said.
