Regarding the news circulating, Putut said that the decline in Pertalite prices that occurred on March 21 was part of the Blue Sky Program which had been implemented since last year.
Through this program, Pertamina has provided a discount for Pertalite to a Premium price, which until now the area of implementation has continued to be expanded.
The Langit Biru program itself is being intensified by Pertamina as an educational step for the public to switch consumption from Premium.
This is in line with the Government’s efforts to focus on reducing fuel consumption which is not environmentally friendly.
“The main goal is educating consumers to use quality fuel,” said Putut.
For information, Pertamina has been doing the Pertalite discount to Premium price since last year.
The discount, which only applies to two-wheeled vehicles, public transportation, and yellow-plate taxis, continues to be expanded by Pertamina.
Most recently, the Pertalite discount program was implemented in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
