Recently, a member of the House of Representatives of Commission VII, Mulyanto, conducted a test on Pertalite and Revvo 89. The two BBMs have been extensively discussed in the last month.
In the world of social media, the quality of Pertalite is questioned. Not a few consider Pertalite more expensive, especially after the price has risen to Rp 10,000 per liter.
The following tweps are the final results of the Pertalite and Revvo-89 quality measurements.

Some Pertalite users complain of an increase in vehicle operating costs. Revvo 89 is considered an alternative to Pertalite’s assumption that it is a waste after price increases. With a slightly different selling price but lower octane levels, the Revvo 89 is highly sought after.
Mulyanto uploaded the test results of the two types of fuel to his Twitter account. As a result, Revvo 89 which incidentally has RON of 89 but from test results its RON level is actually 90.7. While Pertalite with an octane number of 90, the RON level is 90.3.
The results of the Pertalite test uploaded by Mulyanto are also not very different from the tests previously carried out by the Directorate General for Oil and Gas via Lemigas. From the results of the initial Lemigas test, it can be seen that Pertalite at the six service stations met the specified quality limits. For example, the octane rating at Abdul Muis gas station is 90.5, at Sunter 90.1, S. Parman 90.2, Lenteng Agung gas station is 90.6, Taman Mini gas station is 90.7, Taman Mini gas station is 90.6.

From these results, both specifications still meet the standards in accordance with the Decree of the General Director of Oil and Gas No. marketed on the domestic market.
Just to remind you, Pertalite was previously tested by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas through Lemigas amid reports that Pertamina’s RON 90 fuel was a waste.
Lemigas’ team took samples of Pertalite directly from 6 gas stations in the Jakarta area to be tested and to obtain quality assurance. The 6 petrol stations sampled by Pertalite are Lenteng Agung petrol station, Taman Mini petrol station (2 petrol stations), Abdul Muis petrol station, Sunter petrol station and Parman petrol station.
“The Pertalite fuel sample was then tested at the Central Oil and Gas Test Center of the Directorate General for Oil and Gas with standard and standard test procedures for 19 test parameters,” said Tutuka.
