According to him, the law has successfully fulfilled its mission. Changes are currently being prepared to allow citizens with limited fitness under the age of 25 to avoid transfer, and those who have already been transferred will be able to retire. The bill also proposes that citizens under 25 years of age will be able to sign a contract for one year.
Transfer processes are progressing according to the needs of the General Staff, but there are still problems, including avoidance of transfer. To solve such issues, economic conservation methods are being introduced, but even more debate is needed in parliament.
Venislavsky noted that there are no plans in Ukraine to lower the age of mobility, as was done in Russia, where people can be sent to the front from the age of 18. Pensioners of the security forces are also subject to mobility to general if fit for service.
In terms of educational delays, citizens receiving a second or third higher education have no reason to delay moving. Parliament is ready to discuss the possibility of raising taxes to finance defense if this is justified by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Let’s remember that in May, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a reduction law age of consent up to 25 years. Former Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova identified three categories of men under 25 years of age who are subject to movement control.
