A person died this morning after being struck by a train, near Beaune, in Côte-d’Or. The facts took place around 6 a.m., according to firefighters.
Interrupted traffic between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges
Consequently, rail traffic is interrupted for the moment, between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges. According to the SNCF, five trains are impacted, including two TER between Dijon and Lyon which are diverted by the Bresse line and which are at least 20 minutes late. Four other trains are also affected: a train between Chalon-sur-Saône and Dijon which is canceled or another TER between Dijon and Nevers. Taxis are available to train users between Chalon-sur-Saône and Dijon.
Two TGV (High Speed Trains) between Metz and Montpellier passing through Dijon, are both at least 30 minutes late. Other trains, such as the one which must leave at 8:40 am from Dijon to Lyon-Part-Dieu, has a delay of 40 minutes, according to the SNCF display at Dijon station.
