NEW YORK — Service on the No. 4 train was disrupted in both directions on Sunday after a person was struck by a train, according to MTA officials.
The incident took place shortly after 9 pm and the identity of the victim was not made public. The person was run over near the subway station in West 176th Street y Jerome Avenue.

The MTA warned commuters to expect severe disruptions on the transit line until 10 p.m. as emergency crews worked on the scene.
As a result, number 4 trains do not run from 149 St-Grand Concourse and Burnside Av in both directions.
Alternatively, travelers were advised to use nearby stops on line D or buses Bx1, Bx2 or Bx3.
