Person stabbed in Bergen city center on Wednesday night – no one arrested – NRK Vestland

The police were contacted by the VET center last night at 22.46. The report was that a person had been stabbed in Håkonsgaten in the center of Bergen, writes the West police district in a press release on Thursday morning.

The victim is a man in his 20s.

Police and an ambulance were in town after a short time, and the injured were transported to Haukeland University Hospital for treatment.

– It is not a question of life-threatening injuries, says operations manager Frode Kolltveit in the police.

More stab wounds

The injured person was conscious when he was taken care of by health personnel.

The man is said to have suffered several stab wounds.

– The person in question has suffered cuts on several places on the body, without me being able to go into any more detail about it, says operations manager Steinar Hausvik.

There is an unknown reason for the incident, and for a possible acquaintance between the parties.

No arrests

The police do not know if there was one or more perpetrators behind the crime. The person in question had left the scene when the naudetata arrived.

Despite large searches, no arrests were made during the night.

– We have searched in the surrounding area and collected what we can from witness information and information otherwise. It has not given any results so far, says Hausvik.

The case will be investigated further on Thursday morning. The police’s priority is to carry out an interrogation of the offended party.

– It will hopefully give us something more to work on.
