Person killed in Oslo – no one arrested – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

The deceased must have suffered stab wounds to the upper body.

– We were notified that a person was stabbed and was bleeding a lot. We were quickly on the spot and it was there that resuscitation was initiated. The person was taken to Ullevål hospital, but was declared dead after a short time, says operations manager Per Ivar Iversen in the Oslo police district to NRK.

Someone called the police to report the incident.

He confirms that police have started a homicide investigation.

– There are now both tactical and technical investigations on site. So far, no people have been arrested, Iversen continues.

According to the police task leader on the spot, traces have been secured. Police have also spoken to witnesses who have seen the incident itself.

There are many indications that the incident took place outdoors.

– We are looking for a perpetrator, says task leader, Svein Arild Jørundland.

He does not want to give more details about the victim at the present time because relatives have not been notified.

The police were notified of the incident at around 02.45 on Wednesday night, but first reported the incident on Twitter at 02.455 on Wednesday morning.
