A person has died after being stabbed in the center of Skien on Saturday afternoon, the police say. Three people are charged with grievous bodily harm resulting in death.

The three men were arrested on Saturday.
At 12.46, the police were notified that one man was found stabbed at Ibsenhuset in the center of Skien. The man was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries, the police say in a press release.
The victim is a man in his 20s.
– We are working on the basis of several hypotheses about what is the reason for the incident, says acting head of the investigation section, Linda Leland, at Grenland police station.
Was found in park
For the time being, they will not comment on whether there is a relationship between the accused and the victim.
Police believe the incident happened in an apartment. The man was found in a park near Ibsenhuset.
– We have checked the surveillance cameras, and victims came running from the area, fall over and end up in the park. We now have two possible locations, the apartment and the park, explained task leader Sondre Dahl Telemark newspaper.
Three people were later brought to the arrest, according to police. Three people have now been charged and will be questioned during Sunday, the police say.
Working to clarify the course of events
It is too early to conclude with the motive for the murder, according to Leland. Nor can she say anything about whether the action seems random or planned.
– We are investigating to find out what has happened and are working to clarify it. At the moment, it is early in the investigation, and it is difficult to say anything more, she says to VG.
The police want tips in the case if anyone has information about the incident.
Later Saturday it became known that one man was hit in the head with a hammer in Skien. The police want to make it clear that these two incidents have no connection.
