The police were notified at 08.22 on Saturday.
– All three emergency services moved out. The first patrol from us got the person on land and implemented cardiopulmonary resuscitation. But the person was confirmed dead by ambulance when they arrived at the scene, says operations manager Christian Krohg Engeseth to NRK.
The person was found at Gullhaug bridge in Nydalen.
– We have a certain idea of who the person is, but do not want to go out with gender and age at the moment, says Krogh Engeseth.
Relatives have not been notified.

Although there was no indication that there were more people in the river, the fire brigade chose to search with divers.
The search ended after half an hour with no further findings.
The crime scene in Nydalen is blocked off.
– The detective is on site and working with a number of witness interviews, and is trying to find out what may have happened, says Krogh Engeseth.
