Düsseldorf The knee bridge in Düsseldorf had to be closed for several hours on Wednesday out of town. The reason was a man who is balanced on the approximately eight meter high wall in front of the entrance to the Rheinalleetunnel.
In downtown Düsseldorf there were traffic disruptions on Wednesday morning, the knee bridge had to be closed for several hours out of town. According to the police, a 25-year-old man stood on the eight-meter-high wall in front of the entrance to the Rheinalleetunnel and threatened to jump.

The man walked around there between 9.25 a.m. and 12.30 p.m., said a police spokesman. “Then officials from our negotiating group managed to convince the man to come down from the wall,” said the spokesman.

The case was then handed over to the public order office and a doctor. “They now have to decide whether the man will be admitted to a state hospital,” said the spokesman. The mission ended around 12.50 p.m. and the bridge was opened again.
