Persis Solo Bus Thrown by Persita Supporters, Polda Metro Jaya: This is an outside incident

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – In response to the incident of throwing the official bus of the Persis Solo football club, the Metro Jaya Regional Police or Polda Matro Jaya admitted that previously the National Police had made anticipation of security control before, competing, and after the match.

“Regarding the throwing of a bus, of course this is an outside incident,” said the Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya, Sr. Comr. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to journalists, Monday, January 30, 2023.

According to Chief Commissioner Trunoyudo, in the match between the two clubs, the police had taken precautions. However, Trunoyudo stated that the National Police would process law enforcement against the perpetrators. “Deterrent effect,” he said.

The official Persis Solo bus was thrown on Jalan Raya Legok, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, on Saturday, January 28 2023. The police arrested seven suspects. The determination of the suspect at the South Tangerang City Police refers to various pieces of evidence.

Seven people who are suspected of being Persita Tangerang supporters, including MR, HK, IA, FS, MFM, DH, and GR. They are men aged 18-24 years.

Previously, South Tangerang City Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Faisal Febrianto said that the beating by Persis Solo officials and players against the perpetrators of throwing the bus was an act of self-defense.

Responding to this beating, South Tangerang City Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Faisal Febrianto said the Persis Solo players did self-defense. However, Faizal will return to investigate the incident. “That’s why he was defending himself. But we’ll still investigate later,” said the Chief of Police, Monday, January 30, 2023.

Previously circulating CCTV videos of several people suspected of being Persis Solo players beating themselves up at a delivery service office.

Before the Persis Solo players took the beating, a number of people suspected of being Persita Tangerang supporters threw stones at their bus on Jalan Raya Legok, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency near the toll gate.

A package delivery service employee, Siti Nurma (29) confirmed the beating incident. The incident occurred on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 18.20. “Yesterday, suddenly there were a lot of people running around, then one of the people entered here and was immediately beaten up, according to the CCTV circulating,” said Siti.

The beating occurred in the package delivery service office in the Kelapa Dua area, Tangerang Regency. “If I get beaten up, I only know one person,” he said.

After being beaten, the man who was suspected of being a supporter was taken to the bus by the Persis Solo players to be handed over to the police. “After that they were taken directly to the bus, I no longer know where to take the person who was beaten,” said Siti.
