Persija Jakarta’s Witan Sulaeman Aims for Gold Medal at 2023 SEA Games with Indonesian U-22 National Team

BOLASPORT.COM – Persija Jakarta winger, Witan Sulaeman, is optimistic that he can win the 2023 SEA Games gold medal.

PSSI has officially announced 20 players who will strengthen the Indonesian U-22 national team in this multi-sport sports event in Southeast Asia.

The 2023 SEA Games will be held in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.

However, the sport of football will start first, on April 29 to be precise.

In this edition, the Indonesian U-22 national team is aiming for a gold medal.

The last time a gold medal was won by Indonesia was in 1991 or 32 years ago.

In order to achieve this target, Indra Sjafri as the coach has held a training camp (TC/training camp) in Jakarta in early March.

The 60-year-old tactician also brought in two players who played for foreign clubs, namely Marselino Ferdinan and Pratama Arhan to join the Garuda Muda squad.




Not only that, the Indonesian U-22 national team is filled with nine players who are labeled members of the senior national team.
