Persija Jakarta management ensured that they did not retain 12 people who were in the ranks of coaches and team officials for next season after the Kemayoran Tigers obtained disappointing results in Liga 1 2021/22.
Persija is only ranked eighth in the final standings with 45 points, each with 11 wins and losses, and 12 draws. This achievement was not in line with the top five targets given by the management, thus making an overhaul of the coaching staff and officials.

The 12 people who were not retained were coach Sudirman, team manager Bambang Pamungkas, Ilham Ralibi (physical coach), Alberto Lungherini (physical coach), Ahmad Fauzi (goalkeeping coach), and Ferdiansyah (video technical analysis).
Other names are team secretary Muhammad Araaf Sidik, Donny Kurniawan (doctor), Muhamad Yanizar (physiotherapy), Sutisna (masseur), Ahmad Aditya Subkhi (masseur), and Abdul Rahman Saleh (kitman).
The management’s decision to release the 12 people was also reflected in the last match against PSS Sleman. In this match, Persija lost 2-0 through Dave Mustaine’s penalty kick, and Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan’s header.
Persija president Mohamad Prapanca said the contracts for the 12 people had expired on March 31. However, the optimism of reaching the top five positions at the start of the season could not be fulfilled. Prapanca did not give any indication they were retained in the team for next season.
“The professional work contracts of the 12 officials have indeed ended on March 31, 2022. Therefore, despite all the dynamics that have occurred, I as the club president would like to express my deepest gratitude for their dedication and loyalty to the Persija team. Good luck to all of them wherever they are next season,” Prapanca told the club’s official website.
