Persija Jakarta Coach Thomas Doll Admits Disappointing Performance in Indonesian League 1 2023-2024 Season

TRIBUN-BALI.COM, DENPASAR – Persija Jakarta coach, Thomas Doll, admitted that the performance of the players throughout the week of the Indonesian League 1 2023-2024 season had disappointed Jakmania.

Thomas Doll does not deny that throughout League 1 until the ninth week, Persija Jakarta still has not found the perfect rhythm of play.

This has an impact on the position of the Kemayoran tiger squad which is stuck in 9th position in the temporary standings with 13 points.

Most recently, Persija Jakarta was held to a draw by Arema FC, which incidentally is the bottom on the Indonesian League 1 standings for the 2023-2024 season.

This is of course a very disappointing thing, apart from playing in front of the fans, losing a player due to a red card is also salt for the wounds of the Kemayoran Tigers squad.

As is well known, in the match against Arema FC, one of the Persija Jakarta players, Firza Andika, was rewarded with 2 yellow cards.

Jakmania’s disappointment was shown after the match against Singo Edan – nicknamed Arema FC. Jakmania, who was present at the stadium, protested by singing.

“Obviously our fans are disappointed.”

“We played against Arema and we had the possibility to score the third goal to finish the game,” said Thomas.

“Of course, a supporter is also not happy because they gave everything for 90 minutes to push us,” he continued.

“They are always behind us and they also want us to make some progress in the league table.”

The last time Persija tasted victory was in the sixth week, when they visited the PSS Sleman headquarters.
