Persib Bandung officially parted ways with Luis Milla at the start of this season after Maung Bandung failed to win in three matches.
“Hatur nuhun @luismillacoach,” wrote Persib’s upload on social media in response to the separation of the two parties.
In a statement via the official website, Persib explained that the match against Dewa United which took place on Friday (14/7) was the last game for Milla.

“However, it is with a heavy heart that PERSIB has to convey that the match against Dewa United last night was the last moment together with Luis Milla Aspas as skipper,” wrote Persib’s statement.
In a follow-up statement, it was stated that personal factors were the reason behind Milla’s decision.
“To be able to solve this problem, Milla must return to Spain and devote all her attention and concentration,” continued the statement from the Blue Prince team.
Along with Milla’s decision, Manuel Perez-Cascallana and Carlos Grande Rodriguez also withdrew from the coaching staff.
Since making his debut leading PERSIB in the match against RANS Nusantara in the eighth week of the 2022/2023 League 1 competition, Luis Milla has managed to record 17 wins, 4 draws, and 6 losses.
Meanwhile, this season, Milla has just brought PERSIB to three points in three matches full of hard work and struggle.
Persib appointed Yaya Sunarya as temporary coach assisted by Bayu Eka Sari and Luizinho Passos.
