Perseverance on Mars was filmed by a rarity and recorded the squeaky sounds of one’s own movement – ČT24 – Czech Television

“If I heard these sounds while driving my car, I would stop and call the towing,” commented Dave Gruel of JPL. “But if you consider for a minute what you hear and where it was recorded, it makes perfect sense,” he added.

Rover Perseverance landed on Mars on February 18 in Lake Crater. There is no audio recording of the landing itself, but NASA has previously released a short audio recording made by Perseverance after the landing. There is a loud sound from the rover, and in the background there are gusts of wind on the planet’s surface. The space agency has also previously shown a video of the robotic spacecraft landing.

Rarášek on Mars

The task of the vehicle is to search for traces of microbial life in the ancient past, but also to perform tasks related to the preparation of future expeditions of people to Mars. She had not yet found it, but in recent days she had reported observations of another remarkable phenomenon.

Perseverance managed to take a picture of raraška – or sand whirlpool. It is formed on Mars in the same way as on Earth, ie by the circulation of air on a warm or dry surface and cold air from clouds.

These beliefs have been recorded in previous missions to Mars, but never so soon after landing. They are not dangerous for robots; in fact, they can even be beneficial. It turned out with the InSight spacecraft, which cleaned such solar panels covered in Martian dust. This is how the rarios filmed the Curiosity probe:
