Perseverance Captures Deimos, the Moon of Mars with Irregular Shapes

CALIFORNIA, iNews.id – Perseverance rover robot NASA see one of the Moons on Mars. Interestingly, the Martian Moon has an irregular shape, not round.

The moon, called Deimos, is relatively small with a width of 12 km. Due to its tiny size, Deimos looks like a bright spot in the Martian night sky.

Deimos is one of the two moons of Mars. This moon takes about 30 hours to orbit the Red Planet, as quoted from Mashable, Monday (30/8/2021)

NASA also shared a video of the moon via its Twitter account. In the video, you can see a bright light in the sky of Mars that is twinkling.

“Watching the sky is fun wherever you are. We were taking pictures to see the clouds and caught something strange, namely Deimos which is one of the two moons of Mars,” NASA tweeted.
