REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TURKEY — The peak of the Perseid meteor shower occurred in the skies of Turkey and Hungary on Sunday (13/8/2023). Head of the Space Research Center for the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Emanuel Sungging explained, it was raining meteor Perseid is a year-round phenomenon.

Meteor Rain perseid occurs when the Earth orbits the Sun and often passes through the cosmic dust regions of the solar system.

The meteor shower that appears appears to radiate from a point in the sky in the constellation Perseus, so this phenomenon is called the Perseid meteor shower.
