1. Occurring from August to September 2023
Even though the peak occurred in the early hours of this morning seen from Indonesia, this meteor shower will continue until September 2023.

2. Occurs throughout the year in Indonesia
Head of the Space Research Center for the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Emanuel Sungging explained that the Perseid meteor shower is a phenomenon that occurs throughout the year in Indonesia.
The difference between the Perseid meteor shower and other meteor showers, said Emanuel, is that it depends on the time, because every time it crosses different areas throughout the year.
“Meanwhile, in Indonesia itself this phenomenon always occurs throughout the year,” said Emanuel, Friday (11/8) as quoted from Kompas.com.
Emanuel explained that the Perseid meteor shower occurs when the Earth orbits the Sun and often passes through the cosmic dust region in the solar system.
