The fate of foreign players Persebaya Surabaya began to be known as of April 1, 2022.
Persebaya using 4 foreign players in the 2021-2022 League, namely: Taisei Marukawa (Japan), Arsenio Valpoort (Dutch), Alie Sesay (Sierra Leone) give Bruno Moreira (Brazil).
Bajul Ijo ended the league in 5th place in the 2021-2022 League 1 final standings which was in line with their target.
After the 2021-2022 League 1 ended, 4 foreign players had different fates.

Three of them are confirmed to leave, namely Bruno Moreira, Taisei Marukawa and Arsenio Valpoort.
Persebaya coach, Aji Santoso first revealed that one foreign player, Bruno Moreira did not extend his contract and would move to Europe.
“Maybe like Bruno Moreira he will play in Greece, he has received an offer from Greece,” said Aji Santoso on Wednesday (30/3/2022).
