ACEH, KOMPAS.TV – The Aceh Sharia Court gave an acquittal to the father who raped his own child in Aceh Besar with the initials SUR (45). The victim was four years old.
The defendant, who is a state civil servant (ASN) is free from punishment after filing an appeal against the guilty verdict at the first level of the Jantho Aceh Besar Sharia Court.
This was confirmed by Darmansyah Hasibuan, Public Relations of the Aceh Sharia Court on Friday (8/10/2021).
“It’s true that there is a verdict Number 22/JN/2021/MS Aceh which states that the defendant has not been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing rape,” said Darmansyah in Banda Aceh, quoted from Between.

The panel of judges in their decision stated that the defendant SUR was not legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing rape against a person who had a mahram relationship.
This decision was issued in a trial on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. The trial was chaired by the chairman of the panel of judges, Ansyari along with member judges Alaidin and Khairil Jamal.
“And by adjudicating himself as this ruling says, and the defendant must be released from all charges and lawsuits,” said a copy of the Aceh Sharia Court’s decision number 22/JN/2021/MS.Aceh.
SUR was also acquitted of the first alternative charge as regulated in Article 49 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law.
Whereas previously, the defendant had received a guilty verdict and a sentence of 180 months in prison from the Jantho Aceh Besar Sharia Court.
