In an interview with ORF Upper Austria, Furtner said that after the man was said to have been armed, it was assumed that there was a “high level of danger” and that many emergency services were mobilized accordingly.
Offenders rather corpulent
In the first statements made by employees of the bank, the perpetrator was described as rather corpulent. He threatened employees at gunpoint and got them to open the cash register.
Apparently he fled with cash in an unknown amount. According to Furtner, information is now also required from the population. Every police station assumes observations.
