Policy set hit-and-run driver dumping his victim on Jalan Raya Sawangan, Depok City, West Java (West Java), as a suspect. The suspect with the initials ERA (26) was named a suspect after undergoing intensive examination.
“We have named the perpetrators as suspects,” said Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Ahmad Fuady to reporters in Depok, Saturday (18/2/2023).
For his actions, the suspect ERA charged with multiple articles related to Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
“Towards his actions, we apply multiple articles, namely the first Article 310 paragraph 3, with a maximum penalty of 5 years. Then the second is Article 310 paragraph 4, with a maximum penalty of 6 years, and also Article 312 with a maximum threat of 3 year,” he said.
He added that the suspect was also officially detained at the Depok Police Headquarters.
“Currently we have detained the perpetrators at the Depok Metro Police,” he added.
The victim was dumped alive
Previously reported, ERA (26) willing to throw away the victim which he hit on Jalan Raya Sawangan, Depok. The victim, Ellyefen (53) was disposed of by ERA while still alive.
“(The condition of the victim when he was dumped) is still alive,” said Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Ahmad Fuady to reporters in Depok.
The victim was rushed to Sawangan Hospital for medical treatment. But alas, his life is not saved.
“Then taken to the hospital, not long after the victim died,” he said.
