Nagakanni said, Perodua also gave the option to buy a used car at a price similar to the installments paid or reject the offer and buy another car. Nagakanni said he was given seven days to decide whether he would accept the offer. He also expressed his gratitude to the public for supporting him in getting his rights as a consumer.

“I am grateful to all of you. The struggle to get my rights from a big company is certainly not an easy thing, especially for an ordinary person like me. But I learned something that even though we are as small as ants, when we join, whatever color and race, we will be successful,” he said. .

Previously, Nagakanni had to pay installments of around IDR 1.7 million even though his car was damaged and could not be used. Through a post on his Facebook account, Nagakanni told of his experience of just buying a car but not long after it broke down.

Nagakanni revealed that this incident first occurred on October 17 2023. He explained that he first bought a car at the Harapan Terang Motor Sdn Bhd Segamat Sales Center at 11.00 local time. Unfortunately, 8 hours later, at 19.40 local time, the car engine no longer started when starting.

Three weeks after that, on November 9 2023, Nagakanni received a call from the Customer Sales Executive at Perodua Head Office, En Sufian. In initial findings, the car engine was damaged because foreign objects such as sugar were found. Even though this material was not used in the Bezza 1.3 What’s more, he also didn’t mess with the machine during those 8 hours.

Furthermore, on December 4 2023, sales personnel from the Harapan Terang Sales Center requested documents to create a second loan scheme. But Nagakanni rejected this because he felt the first car installment had not been completed.

December 8, 2023 Nagakanni reported that Perodua has not agreed to exchange its damaged car for a new unit. Two months passed, Nagakanni finally got his new unit.
